Just saw this at Whedonesque: according to pop culture tracking site ICv2.com the Serenity trade paperback from Dark Horse Comics was the top selling graphic novel in January, outselling “New Avengers Vol 1 Breakout,” “Superman Sacrifice,” and “DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore.”
From their analysis:
“Typically January is a month when sales slow down and periodical sales did register a 17% decline from December to January, but graphic novel sales declined only 7.7% thanks to a strong list of titles debuting in January including Dark Horse’s Serenity, which took the top spot.”
If you haven’t read it yet, why not? Get it at Amazon, Things From Another World, and Play.com (International), or at a comics store near you.
