See what I miss when I go away? The first issue of “Better Days,” the next Serenity comic miniseries, is now available for preorder. It’ll be out in March. Like the first series, “Those Left Behind,” it’s written by Joss Whedon and Brett Matthews and drawn by Will Conrad, but this time big time Browncoat and fan-favorite comic artist Adam Hughes will be doing covers.
Better Days revisits everyone’s favorite space cowboys in this thrilling, action-packed adventure, with Mal and his crew on a heist that promises a big payoff–what’s surprising is that this heist just might make good on that promise.
Due out March 12. 40 pages (!).
Also, word is that Ron Glass shared some upcoming Book-related comic news while on the Browncoat Cruise last week. Once I find out if it’s OK to share, I’ll fill you in. Just start saying “oh boy oh boy oh boy” now and get ready.
Mal almost looks more like Simon in that drawing.
Just sayin’.
He almost looks plastered.
He does have a drunkish look about him, doesn’t he? But all in all, I think this art captures the characters better than the art of the Those Left Behind covers did.
Agreed. And somehow I just noticed Wash and Zoe’s hands are intertwined. That’s awesome beyond description.
