Because you know you’ve always wanted one.
The Prop Store — previously The Prop Store of London, but they’ve expanded — has always offered great and bizarre props from the shows and movies we love, and long ago I signed up for some email alerts just to hear about things like this.
It’s Oz’s werewolf head, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Oz was my favorite characters (sorry, Spike) due to our similar attitudes toward pretty much everything. Anyone who can respond to his first transformation back from a slavering hairy beast with “Huh” is my kind of guy.
Anyway, you can buy his head if you want. Only $4495, plus shipping. And not only is it a cool prop, it’s the first Oz head; it’s from the episode “Phases” where his changes first began. And it’s seriously cool:
Made from foam latex, this wolf head features realistic glass eyes, hand punched hair and an array of animatronics in the form of servo motors that would control the facial movements such as eyes, mouth and other expressions.
I can’t afford to buy it myself, of course, but it gives me a warm feeling to know it’s available.
