Now you can buy Jason Palmer’s classic Firefly painting — the original, not a print — through his newly revamped website. This is his first Firefly work, the one that got such a reaction he decided to go after the official license: “…I did a pencil piece for Firefly that you see here, and it was really popular. Joss loved it, Nathan loved it, every… the whole cast really liked it. I kept getting requests about it so I worked it up into a full-fledged painting and it got very popular…” (from the SerenityStuff interview)
From the description: Acrylics on board; artwork size is 18×28. Framing: “Old World” wood with bronze and golden highlights frame 24×36, UV protectant scratch-resistant Tru-Vue acrylite, conservation acid-free matting in Moorman Leather, and acid-free backing. Artwork is “floated” inside the frame, for a sense of dimension and depth. UPS Ground shipping (continental U.S.) is included. (Contact them for international shipping)
It ain’t cheap — $2500 — but it is a gorgeous work that deserves a loving home. There are also a few other Serenity pieces in his original section but they’re not linked, meaning either it’s still being updated or someone already bought ’em…
And a bit of news about the Serenity crew portraits: he’s working on a book to showcase them in.
We are also developing a collector’s book to store the prints in. The book cover is made of aluminum, with Serenity logo laser etched onto it. In addition to the character prints, the book will contain extra bonus items. We are hoping to unveil the book at the San Diego Comic con this year, so please visit our booth to check it out.
Can’t wait to see the complete set! Go check out the rest of his Firefly and Serenity paintings, as well as his wonderful works for Star Wars, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, and many more.
