Since TFAW.com sold all theirs and Museum Replicas charges a bit too much, I was curious to see if anyone is offering the official Serenity weapons at better prices, and some googling brought me to the lowest retail prices I’ve seen yet. The River-axe-and-Reaver-sword set shown here, with wall plaque, sells at MR for $295 but kultofathena.com has them on sale for $224.95.
The Serenity: Reaver Sword & Axe Set includes both the sword and axe as well as a full color Serenity wall plaque, which will allow you to display both of these pieces together. The sword is amazingly well balanced and can be held and used much like a Japanese katana, while the small axe makes a perfect side arm. Both pieces are unsharpened and made of tempered high carbon steel.
Sword – Overall Length: 40 1/2” Blade:28” Axe – Overall Length: 14 1/2”
They’ve also got the Operative’s sword. MR: $165. KultofAthena.com: $129.95.
The licensed Serenity: Operative’s Sword is made of unsharpened, high carbon, tempered steel and is every bit as sleek and balanced as the movie version. The wooden grip is finished with a wrapped cord for extra secure maneuvering. The sword comes complete with an adjustable leather back scabbard, with nylon straps, making it a comfortable addition for any secret operation.
Overall Length: 32” Blade: 24”
Anybody see them any cheaper? The licensed ones, not close enough ones.
Stop posting links to such awesome merchanidse. It’s really having a negative effect on my bank account. No, don’t… just keep in mind that every so often you’ll post something that I just can’t resist purchasing. Tonight I had to spring for the Operative’s Sword, but I had to pass on the Reaver Sword & Axe set. Even at a discounted price, it’s still a little too much. I’d rather save my money for other things, like the shiny stuff they’re working on over at QMx.
I just got my Operative’s Sword in the mail today. It’s all sorts of shiny and it is a licensed product, ’cause it has SERENITY and © Universal Studios etched on it. So Kult of Athena gets my stamp of approval. Some extra information: it has two other stickers on it, one says Made in India and the other says Windlass Steelcrafts.
so you are stil seling and you not sold out?
I saw them at this knife and sword shop in saskatoon called cutting edge for 100 – 200 dollars
