Some interesting tidbits just popped up at the QMx blog about their proposed 20″ model:
She’ll be approximately 20? long, will feature the blue/grey deco and detailing as seen in Serenity, and will basically rule the display shelf in your home.

Every time I see a new Serenity/Firefly related item appear, my heart starts speeding up, I get short of breath, and I enter a dream state, visualizing the object in my very own hands. In the case of QMX items, I then see the price tag, and my heartbeat returns to normal, my shortness of breath turns to a sigh of disappointment, and I return to reality, knowing that I will probably NEVER hold the object in my very own hands. On one hand, I would LOVE to support an official/authorized dealer of Serenity/Firefly articles, but the cost is absolutely prohibitive. This replica model costs more than my first car! Until companies like QMX start providing affordable props and replicas, I’ll be spending my money elsewhere.
Oh snap, that’s shiney. Too bad I’ll NEVER convince the wife that we must have that instead of say, paying the car payment for the month.
We are going to try what we can to be the proud owners of one of these beauties. It’s great being married to a fellow collector as well as a Browncoat. 😉
Anymore info on when it’ll be available for preorder?
That price is outrageous, the only way I’d pay that is if it had working lights and an accessible interior.
I’ve been waiting for a great quality model of this ship!
But at the prices its just far out of my range…
Instead why not make 10,000 models at 100$ a piece.
you’d be more likley to sell them and you’d make a lot more fans happy.
Does anyone know how to order the ship? I’ve looked for it on their website but can not find it. Does anyone have the scoop?
Thanks,
Mike
It’s not there yet, this was an advance promo thing.
luckily i was the one who tried to talk my wife out of this, to no avail:)
