Just announced in QMx’s Insider e-mail newsletter: the Mal Stunt Pistol stand!
You voted for it, you got it. Well, a hundred of you do, anyway, they only had a hundred made. OK, 99 of you do, I ordered one already.
The stand consists of three components: a black lucite base measuring 16.5″ x 4″ and two clear lucite risers – the front one measuring 5.25″ x 2″, the rear one measuring 4″ x 2″. The crystal risers give the pistol a floating effect and ensure that no part of the pistol touches the base. And we’ve add a metal plaque declaring you are the proud owner of the Malcolm Reynolds Stunt Pistol replica, for which this stand was specially designed.
At least so far it’s not mentioned on the site anywhere, the link is in the newsletter. (And, ahem, here.) Best hurry.
What, no cover? I can’t have a case without a cover….
I ordered mine as soon as I got the newsletter, especially when I saw the quanity was limited to 100 units.
I just ordered my stand. Thanks for posting this Chris. My QMx emails always go to my spam folder and I almost missed it. Yea, there isn’t a cover but it will still look great on display. Now I need to find a nice photo of Nathan Fillion holding the gun so I can frame and display them together.

You know, given the amount of money I’ve thrown their way it is a wonder I’m not on the mailing list.
Thanks for the heads up!

Indeed, I knew that. I think. My comment was meant to be funny, though I guess it is hard to tell in text. Thank you for being helpful.
At any rate, I have rectified my misbegotten state, such that I should be appropriately informed in the future.
Thanks again,
Lingarn
I received mine today.
Yes, the base is black. You have to remove the cardboard protective sheet first. At first it doesn’t look like you are suppose to take it off, but you are. I was worried at first because I thought if I removed it I might mess it up.
My stand arrived today and it looks great. It took the place of my prized possession on the wall, my Polar Lights Jupiter 2 model.
