It’s finally here!
Well, almost, it’ll be here Tuesday. Serenity on Blu-Ray, high definition for people who didn’t go the High Definition DVD route. All the same extras from before, plus some great new ones:
- Alliance Database (New!)
- U Control (New!)
- Mr. Universe Compendium (New!)
- Digital Tour of Serenity (New!)
- Picture in Picture (New!)
- Visual Commentary with Writer/Director Joss Whedon & Cast (New and extremely cool!)
- BD Live: My Scenes Sharing (New, what ever it is)
Plus, you know, the movie, with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track and a 2.35:1 1080p video transfer. Coming December 30. It’s listed here at Amazon and you can still get it for $19.99 if you order now.
And since this is coming out, the collector’s edition Serenity DVD is popping up on sale at places such as Best Buy, where you can get it for just $6.99. That’s 20 bucks off the list price! And the regular Firefly DVD set is on sale for $19.99 at Target and at Amazon.
This is a good time to think about what to do with those gift cards you got last week, you know?
At Best Buy, they have a DVD with a Dollhouse Trailer on it. Cost me a $1.00. It has Lie to Me Fox show on cover. It was on an endcap. Back of DVD slip cover says “DVD INCLUDES SPECIAL TRAILER FOR JOSS WHEDON’S NEW SERIES “DOLLHOUSE” STARRING ELIZA DUSHKU”.
Anonymous1, thanks very much for the tip on “Dollhouse”. Just what I´d been looking for!
So.. SERENITY Blu-Ray was supposed to be released in the UK on the 4th, but no-one seems to actually have a copy, not proper stores or online retailers – does anyone know if it actually was released on our friendly little island?
