Some bad timing and a bout of Orlando traffic kept me and my sons from attending the Can’t Stop the Serenity screening in Tampa today, but at least our ticket money went to the cause.
And so did the money I’ve received so far for the virtual Can’t Stop the Serenity posters and t-shirts I’ve been selling in the game Second Life. At the equivalents of 50 cents and $1 US each — this was done more for promotion than any hope of serious income — folks still bought nearly $27 worth so I rounded up and submitted it directly to Equality Now listed under “Other: CSTS-Tampa.”
(Official Can’t Stop the Serenity t-shirts and posters are still available at Big Red Button in Washtown, Second Life’s largest Browncoat settlement, and all proceeds will continue to go to Equality Now.)
Check out www.cantstoptheserenity.com for updates on how much got raised and how much fun everyone had, and send ’em your own stories and pics!
See ya next year…
Just plain dumb luck you couldn’t make it, but there was a great crowd for the Tampa screening and a shiny time was had by all!
Car accident on I-4 just before the Expressway had us blocked for awhile. We listened to Saffron songs on the stereo and cussed out the cars zipping by on the emergency lane.
ouch…we’re heading to O-town on July 3rd for a couple days, I’m really looking forward to that good ol I-4 traffic @ 4:30pm 🙁
