About

C. A. Bridges is Chris Bridges, writer and occasional artist. He is married to a silly wife, has two extremely silly sons, and several extraordinarily silly pets. He enjoys watching YouTube videos of people taking long walks on the beach.

He is also the Webmaster for news-journalonline.com, the web site for The Daytona Beach News-Journal. Webmaster by day, slightly different webmaster by night!

He is also also the writer for the webcomic “Save Hiatus,” the story of obsessive fans whose show gets cancelled. It is entirely based from life, even the weird stuff. Possibly especially the weird stuff. Artwork by the amazing Adam Levermore-Rich.

He is also the man behind SerenityStuff.com, a site that seeks to track down and point at everything made relating to the TV show “Firefly” and the movie “Serenity.” See “obsessive fan,” above.

And he was the guy who, when talking online with friends about screenwriter Jane Espenson reporting for strike duty on the first day of the 2007 writers strike, suggested, half-joking, that we should send over a pizza. From that, and the equally obsessive fans who jumped on it, was borne Fans4Writers, a grass-roots group that sought to show support for writers by organizing food drops, food drives, viral campaigns, and to generally get the word out. In December we helped organize Mutant Enemy Day, when over 400 fans showed up to march alongside writers and actors from Joss Whedon’s TV shows. I wrote about it here, and posted a ton of pictures here.

And he probably did other stuff, too.
